Holiday paradise • Around the Gulf of Eilat, Eilat, Israel
October 27, 2009 • By Joe

Our trip to southern Israel was shortened from 4 to 3 days due to the heat wave. The first day we spent on the way, visiting few places, and by the time we got to Eilat, it was already dark. So, we walked around the lagoon and took some night shots (see the photo from yesterday).

Then, the next morning we went to Petra, and by the time we got back it was late, and since I felt sick Joe and I spent the evening in our hotel room. No photos from Eilat from that 2nd day.

The next morning we were suppose to leave Eilat and start our trip up north. Mom, Moshe and myself felt sorry that Joe didn't really see Eilat, so we decided to get up

early and walk around for a while so Joe can see some more of Eilat and take more photos.

It was early morning, still cool and crisp. Quite few people were walking, running or swimming in the sea. The sun bathed the land with warm light, the mountains around Eilat glowed with red color, the sea was so blue... it was gorgeous all around.

While we were getting our first morning coffee at the only place that was open that early, Joe went out and took few photos. This is one of them. It was taken towards the west, and what you see there are the neighborhoods of Eilat, with the mountains behind them.
