Spirit of Petra • The ancient city of Petra, Jordan

A blast from the past... another one from Petra - the ancient Nabatian city in Jordan. We didn't post many photos of this wonder of the world before, so I thought it was time for another one.

Sons of the desert, the Bedouin tribe who is in charge there bring their horses in and people can ride them (for a generous fee). We were on our way back to the

entrance when I took this photo. It was late afternoon, the sun was low, and the landscape was shining under this bright warm light. Made me think of Lawrence of Arabia *s*.
