This view of a field after harvest, though magnificent, makes me sad. It is a brutally beautiful reminder that nature's cycle is going on as usual, no matter what emotions it inflicts on us humans.

Summer was so short, cool and wet this year, and yet, awarded us with so many wild flowers, amazing skies and warm enough days to explore the Rockies. So, no complaining here, it was a great summer. And now, when the world goes slowly into transition... it's ok to be sad... and thankful *s*.
