Gone, but not forgotten • Lower Kananaskis lake, Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada

It's a strange sight, by the shores of this lake. The wind is rampant there, and pushes dead branches to the shore. Again and again, the waves beat the shore and the accumulated dead branches beside it.

The pile of rocks you see is the dam, one of the dams that created Upper and Lower Kananaskis lakes. 3 bracketed photos, tone mapped in Photomatix and tweaked some more.
